Technical Arc's OpteArc EWELD MST 650 is a British made power source that is built using Mitsubishi chopper technology. This industrial grade machine is perfect for MMA welding and carbon arc gougin specifically. The chopper technology design gives you all the performance benefits of an inverter based machine whilst providing the rugged reliability of a transformer based machine.

The machines Optearc technology means the machine is smaller in size and weighs less than competitors machines. In addition to this the machines are able to tolerate use in very harsh operating conditions such as very high temperatures, damp and humid environments as well as dusty areas. Common environements for use including off shore, oil, gas, mobile welding / gouging & construction sites.

All OpteArc EWELD MST machines are generator friendly and an be used on extension cables up to 100M in length.

MMA stick welding / carbon arc air gouging in CC mode

The MST 650 offers super smooth welding performance on all electrode types. High OCV with hot start guarantees fast arc up even on dirty & rusty material. These weld all electrode types including cellulosic 6010 etc. A remote current control can be used to adjust the amperage up to 100m away with additional stop start of output if required. All models are also suitable for arc air gouging, see notes below on electrode sizes.
